High energy efficiency

Using water vapor, Optimonia dryers produce about two-thirds of the free energy used for drying and only about one third of the energy used from the electrical grid.

As electricity prices rise, Optimonia condensing dryers enable significant savings in electricity consumption – three to five times compared to traditional dryers with open drying systems and up to 20 times compared to other closed drying systems (vacuum dryers and lyophilizers).

In a warm drying chamber, warm air absorbs moisture from the food. Then, the same air, which is now saturated with water vapor, enters the cold chamber where the steam turns into water (condenses). The heat pump uses free energy released by condensation and transports it back to the food drying chamber.

In dryer of 30 m2, the heat pump produces useful – free heat in the amount of 130,000 kWH per year (in a continuous operation).

OPTIMONIA DRYER REPAYS ITS VALUE BY CALCULATING ONLY THE SAVINGS IN ELECTRICITY CONSUMPTION.
